I've only read the highligted one's, but I'll check out some of the others. I've been meaning to read "Race Matters" for some time.
I've read a couple of Terry McMillan books and she always seems to male bash to me, so I wasn't interested in reading Disappearing Acts. The only book by her that I really liked was "A Day Late And A Dollar Short."
Also I read a "Tar Baby" that was written by Toni Morrison, and it did not blow my skirt up, but in the book Toni Morrison used words most magnificently. I loved her descriptive detail, just didn't feel the story itself.
True, McMillan does male bash lol. What'd you think of Day Late? I've been meaning to read that, but always end up passing it over for some reason...
