This is my attempt at writing humor. Over the years I've found that particular venue to be one of the most difficult writing challenges I'ver ever faced. Well here goes.

Once there was a sinner man. Oh he committed unforgiveable and unforgettable sins of all sorts and kinds. One Sunday morning he was passing a small store front church and thinking of the sins he could commit to the unsuspecting and trusting souls inside.

Something compelled him to walk up and knock on the door. One of the deacons opened the door and said "Come in sinner man, all are welcome." He sat down in the rear on the right hand side of the church and actually started listening to the message being fervently delivered by the athletic baptist preacher.

The preacher jumped up on top of one of the pews and in his best whooping voice said, "The doors to the church are always open. You need to come in while the blood is hot in yo veins and git on the glory train with me! Anyone on the left heah wanna save yo soul and jump on the glory train with me cause its leavin the station soon. All you gotta do is throw yo hands up and holla amen brother!" No response. He repeated the message louder and louder to those in the center and on the right side.

Now the preacher had noticed the man who'd come in as he was closing his message and directed his next comments to him. He said "Say brother, don't you wanna save yo soul? You betta come on up here and git on the glory train with me." The sinner man looked around and said "Oh I'm sorry Rev, was you talkin to me?" "Sho was, don't you wanna save yo soul? Don't you wanna throw yo hands up and holla amen brother? You don't wanna miss the glory train do you cause its gon be pullin out the station soon!" Sinner man replied "Uh yeah man I wants to save my soul!" "Well how come you didn't do like I told you to do?" the rev asked. "Aw hell man, I wants to save my soul and git on the train with y'all and everythang, but I just thought y'all was gittin up a load right now!"
