The idea of this writing exercise is to have you use the three random phrases to write a poem that includes all three poetic phrases within it.

The ideas, instructions and first 3 phrases for this writing game is attributed to the WritingFix website.

Here are the first three phrases:

a darkness dwelt

that throw their hair

floated like prayers

Thanx so much...As far as "bad 'self"...You know that I appreciate the compliment; however I stay on the humble, careful when I stumble not to fall...

Absolutely, PS. There's no growth without humility. Whenever an artist starts believing his/her own hype they stop growing as artists and as human beings.

phauxshaux: Would you say you're a proliphic poet? I've noticed most of your responses are in verse and it never takes you long to respond with nothing short of inspiring lyric to whatever the challenge presented. Surely this is commercial talent or has God wasted another gift? As i've said before, I know sugar from shit! And reading most of your stuff makes my tooth ache! :D . Get Paid

US,
You are "on point" with those words of wisdom!

DH,
Much thanx for the praises; I enjoy writing! Verse unrehearsed is what I intend to extend to my universe of family and friends! ;-)

Their backs
Facing the tracks
The past hollering hot...
Apparitions begging contrition
Their mouths speak not...
Herecy: salve to their history,
Inflated like little blisters:
Symptom, left to solve ever-evolving mysteries...

Icy January morning in a room of silver
The groom awaits
For his bride's arrival
All is alive, lush and vernal
As in springtime life...
Closing his eyes, in the mood for words (eternal and ethereal):
"yes, darling, I do; I do, forever, I do..."

In springtime life emerges anew
Tender blossoms searching the heavens
Warm rays enticing hidden seeds
Coaxing creeping critters from within
As winters solstice lulls
No mood for words
In a room of silver plants
Sunset Hyssop and Morning Glories
Delicately placed by nature's hands
